María has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for her documentary film projects. Over the years, friends and colleagues have asked her for advice on their projects, especially around documentary film fundraising. María has decided to offer her services on a more formal level, and is available for one-on-one consultations. She enjoys thinking about projects in the development stage, crafting treatments, and exploring outreach possibilities.
Her successful funding applications include the Independent Television Service (ITVS), Sundance Documentary Fund, Latino Public Broadcasting (LPB), National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), Chicken and Egg Pictures, Pew Fellowship in the Arts, The Leeway Foundation, and many other philanthropic organizations.
