Children of memory / Niños de la Memoria (2012)

NIÑOS DE LA MEMORIA tells the story of the search for children who disappeared during the Salvadoran civil war.  Told through the eyes of Margarita Zamora, Jamie Harvey and Salvador Garcia, the film weaves three separate yet intertwined journeys in the search for family, identity and justice in El Salvador, and asks the larger question: How can a post-war society right the wrongs of the past?

Produced by Kathryn Smith Pyle and María Teresa Rodríguez
Directed by María Teresa Rodríguez
Edited by Ann Tegnell

Distribution: Women Make Movies

NIÑOS DE LA MEMORIA is an essential addition to the films about Central America in the 1980s. Its courageous characters and their urgent work to find all the missing children of El Salvador, are unforgettable.
