María has taught multiple workshops and participated in many projects with Scribe Video Center over nearly two decades. Here are some of her favorite collaborations:
International Exchange
During her Fulbright Fellowship María facilitated an exchange of community based media between Árbol, Televisión Participativa in Montevideo, Uruguay and Scribe Video Center in Philadelphia, PA that was included in the series HACÉ y MOSTRÁ aired on TV Ciudad, Montevideo in 2013-2014.

María collaborated with a group of Mexican mushroom workers in scripting, shooting, and editing a video documenting their struggle for better working and living conditions in Kennett Square and Reading, PA. The video is currently part of the tour We Tell: Fifty Years of Participatory Community Media, a national traveling exhibition which chronicles the hidden histories of place-based documentaries that situate their collaborative practices in specific locales and communities, and illustrate the need for social and political change.

María collaborated with a group of older adults, in creating an award-winning short documentary about the pleasure and mental stimulation of sharing literature aloud.

Along with co-instructor Tina Morton, María worked with a group of youth in scripting, shooting and editing a documentary that examines the interplay among youth culture, fashion, and political movements.
